The technique of neural networks is one important area of Artificial Intelligence researches. These constructions, modelled after biological nervous systems, can be taught, through a learning process, to complete certain tasks. neural networks usually perform well in tasks, that require high level generalization and low level noise sensitivity.

The live picture of the camera is processed by a neural network, that was previously taught to detect motion. The projected picture is based on the output data of each individual artificial neuron cell. The program makes it visible in space how the neurons' states change while working on the task; changes, that are usually invisible for human eyes. The special screen was built from several plexiglass layers fixed behind each other.
