EXHAUSTIVE UTILIZATION OF THE APPARATUS STRUCTURES IN THOUGHT IN ORDER TO RENDER THE EXPERIENCE OF ITS REAL / EFFECTIVE LIMITS: PROLEGOMENA TO A DIFFERENT / AN-OTHER HISTORY OF TECHNOLOGICAL VISIONING

Theory and aesthetics of the media as an "activity" in the sense used by Wittgenstein. Main task: to formulate uncompromisingly what media apparatus is actually able to accomplish. Only in this way is the possibility given of making the "non-identical" (Adorno) capable of being articulated, maintained, and developed further.

A selection of stages in media-theoretical and media-aesthetic praxis understood in the above sense: Christoph Scheinerís "Rosa ursina sive sol"; Giovanni Battista Della Porta's arsenal of technological visions; Caspar David Schottís "Magia optica"; amongst others. Fragments contributing to the establishment of an anti-hegemonic ëtraditioní of advanced technological visioning.
