Dóra Maurer Born in 1937,  graduated at the Graphic Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in 1961. Considers herself an autodidact despite her education. Her first ex-hibition in Hungary was in 1961 and abroad was in 1965. Had 44 individual exhibitions since 1965, the most recent ones being in Kiscelli Museum, Budapest, Museum of Contemporary Art/Ludwig Museum in Germany and the Josef Alberts Museum. Her works are held by 25 European collections, among them the Tate Gallery. Professor of the  Academy of Fine Arts since 1990. Member of the Széchényi Academy of Art and Literature.
