Balázs Beöthy Born in 1965 in Budapest. Won the award of the Studio of Young Artists three times (1988, 1990, 1992); in 1992 he was awarded the acknowledgement of quality by the Art Fund. In 1992 in Grenoble won the special prize of C.N.A.C. and in 1997 the Xerox Prize. Held Derkovits, Eötvös and NKA scholarships. Had six exhibitions in 1998: Zenit and Studio Galleries in Budapest, Bad Radkersburg, Szombathely Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Art in Dunaújváros, and most recently Trafó Gallery, Budapest. He works at the Center of  Culture and Communication of the Soros Foundation.
