Ferenc Banga Born in 1947. Between 1967 and 1972 worked at the Museum of Ethnography as a restorer. Produced book illustrations since 1976. Winner of the Munkácsy Prize; received the Illustration Grand Prize of the Exquisite Hungarian Book competition, and the Book Illustration Prize of the Albert Csillag Fundation. Has been taking part at Hungarian and international graphical art shows. Award winner of the Graphical Art Biennial of Miskolc, and of Salgótarján. The animated cartoon based on his drawings won first prize at the Animation World Festival of Hiroshima. In cooperation with Imre Szemethy, he has been publishing a book series entitled „Illustrated Prose Collection”).
