Pre / Postmanipulated billboard advertising posters, 2 pieces each 300 x 400 cm The new forms of design at the beginning of the Nineties express the new economic and political era in Hungary. The best example of this can be seen in the re-design of locally-produced cigarettes. The well known logo of "Sympfonia"cigarettes , however, was simply enlarged. In the artwork, the orginal advertisement text has been covered in order to extinguish the actual meaning. What is of interest is the process by which the past becomes the future without altering the visual form of the sign.
