QuickDNS Server requires minimal configuration, although you will need to configure the clients that will use QuickDNS Server as their name server.
To set up a Mac Using Open Transport
1. Open the TCP/IP control panel on the client.
2. Enter the IP address of the machine running QuickDNS Server in the "Name server addr.:" section.
3. Enter the IP addresses of any name servers you want to use as backups beneath.
4. Save the setup and close the TCP/IP control panel.
Note that if you will nee to restart QuickDNS Server if you change TCP/IP settings while it is running.
If you want the machine that is running QuickDNS Server to use itself as a resolver you need to set the machine up as a client. The DNS server IP address and the client IP addresses will the same.
