The Zone Options screen is used for setting the IP addresses of the master servers of a slave zone. After single clicking on the zone you want to modify, hit the Options button in the Manager window or select Options from the Zone menu.

This will bring up the Zone Options window. Select the server for that zone that you wish to modify from the popup menu at the top of the window. In the body of the window you will be able to set one or more servers. There are no user configurable options for the master server for a zone. A server acting as a master has no need to, and cannot, receive updates from other masters.

Remember that a server acting as a slave for a particular zone can be configured to update from another slave server.

A zone on a BIND server can be configured to have any number of masters.

A server acting as a slave can also be set to query multiple sources. The slave server will attempt to refresh its data from the master and/or slave servers, starting at the top of the list and working its way down the list if it does not receive a response. You can change the order the slave server uses to query the master servers by moving the master servers around in the list.
