Pricing and Availability
Q: Why should I do my own DNS?
A:
1. Cost: Many people find that their DNS
service providers are costing them a large amount
of money, especially if they need to make regular
changes.
2. Reaction Time: Even if your costs are reasonable,
many DNS
providers can take a long time to make requested
changes to your DNS.
Handling your own DNS
removes that problem.
3. Responsibility: Many people have had bad experiences
with having an outside party control their DNS.
Service outages, bad configurations, and over
burdened DNS
servers can all cause problems.
4. Security: Many people are understandably wary
of potential security risks. Handling your own
DNS
allows you to take a greater measure of control
of your online security.
