JÁNOS PÁLYI

Actor, director, stilt walker, puppeteer,
Artistic Director of Maskaras

He has finished his studies at the Puppetry Course of the National Puppet Theatre, Budapest in 1983. He was founding member of Ciróka Puppet Theatre in Kecskemét, Hungary. In 1986 together with two of his colleagues he founded a new company, Maskarás Puppet and Comedy Group to bring the tradition of street theatre to life. From 1992 for two years he was resident director of Puppet theatre Puck in Kolozsvár, Romania. Since 1994 he has worked as free lance director and actor in many of the puppet repertory theatres of Hungary.
