This new Kolibri Theatre production is based on one of the intriguing adventures of Hungary's most popular and colorful rulers, King Mathias (1458-1490). Made famous throughout Europe by numerous tales depicting his extraordinary escapades, from ridding Hungary of the Ottoman's, to his disguised attempts to mix unnoticed with his subjects.

Loved by the people for his honesty and righteousness the young Mathias is told by an old gipsy woman: "One day, you will become a great king, but if you refuse to steal something before your next birthday, you will die…"
