Kistarcsa Days

On 23-25 May 1997, a series of cultural, health and sports programs, called "Kistarcsa Days" will be in our settlement. The organizer is the Kistarcsai Kulturális Egyesület.
The purpose is to mobolize a big proportion of the residents, to provide private persons and the participating organizations with an opportunity to meet each other.
As in previous years, this year too several people have responded to our invitation and are active in the preparation phase.
Programs of several kinds and types are waiting for the guests. The opening event, a costume parade, will start at 4 pm on Friday, 23 May.
The performances and programs on the open-air stage on Ifjúság tér will start in every full hour on Saturday and Sunday.
The following exhibitions can be visited in Kölcsey primary school: disco accidents, hunting, origami collections, butterfly collections, computer, hologram and flower-picture show.
There will be several sports events: five-man football, go-kart show, judo, chess, street running and cycling, 7-meter-throwing, woman handball, archery, cross-brow, air-gun sport shooting, laser shotting, fighting sports.
There will be folk-lore in Csigaház on Saturday afternoon and a puppet show on Sunday.
Flór Ferenc secondary school will provide the guests with check-ups for artery, gynaecological and orthopedic problems, blood-pressure taking, cholesterol tests, gymnastics, blood giving, sight-testing and diabetic consulting.
There will also be gliding and stunt-flying shows.
A nostalgia suburban train will operate between Cinkota and Kerepes, special stamps will be available on the premises.
Special programs will be offered for the infants in the garden of the kindergarten on Sunday.
Further interesting events: market of cultural goods, open-air party, craft-man workshop, nostalgia disco, fashion show, fireworks....
