The Gordian Knot does not confine itself to performing music alone. The group also presents things which are beyond the familiar genre categories.

The Gordian Knot transports us into new territory which can hardly be lumped together under the usual headings. Instead, they are arranged according to musical principles. The Gordian Knot employs all available technological means - state-of-the-art and traditional alike.

The shape and look of The Gordian Knot expands and contracts according to the pieces being performed - it can be a few people or a large company. Colleagues whom I have worked with in the past form the backbone of the group. But The Gordian Knot is more than just them, and sometimes it is more than just musicians. It can include people from all walks of life: artists and non-artists, theatre people and teachers, interpreters and pharmacists, waiters and carpenters...depending on what we are actually performing.

And The Gordian Knot occasionally collaborates with other ensembles and composers including the Agon Orchestra (Prague), the Moyzes Quartet (Bratislava), Jenő Oláh's Gipsy band, the Moving House Theatre Company (Budapest) among many others.

The Gordian Knot is the most authentic performer of my works. It seeks to speak a language that is alive, comprehensible and human.
