WHY PEOPLE USUALLY CONTACT ME

"One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The latter procedure, however, is disagreeable and therefore not popular." C. G. Jung

Very rarely am I contacted simply out of curiousity. Even when someone claims that it's just curiosity, sooner or later it turns out that there is something serious in the air or perhaps my client feels blocked one way or another. Some others, in spite of their continuous effort to escape certain traps, end up falling into them again and again, finding themselves in the same bad relationship, unbearable working conditions, etc. Then comes the unavoidable bitter question: "Why does this only happen to me?"

Quite often my clients are also concerned with everyday matters. Parents are interested to know more about their children, lovers if their partner is a good match for them, corporate executives ask me about their potential business partners, employees, etc.

Some of the most typical questions they want answered: "When will I find my ideal companion? What can I do to get him/her back? Can I have a child, and if so, when? Will I ever be rich? How can I bring my business to success? Will I ever recover? What is my true profession? - etc.

The urge to find our way around in life, to get to know the other person (and ourselves...) - better yet, to make plans and to try staying always on the sunny side, avoiding dangerous or embarrassing situations is a natural human reaction.

When the consultation is pointless

Troubles start only when someone misunderstands the scope of the consultation and wants to pressure the stars to produce an answer to his/her liking, no matter what the realistic possibilities are.

Time for a change: the inner voice

For the majority of us - at least in our lonely moments - there is a soft inner voice telling us when the time has arrived for change. Whether it's a series of stubborn reoccurring thoughts, fantasies, dreams, or physical symptoms, urges for doing something, or quite the opposite: aversions, lack of interest in current activities - we are always informed, even about the nature of the changes we need.

Bargaining with Our Destiny

The modifications needed are often about something inconvenient and more or less uncomfortable, requiring some sacrifice even, fighting old attitudes or giving up old habits. However, these changes can also make our lives fuller or may simply be necessary for healthy development.  Still, the steps needed may initially seem to be scary, perhaps unfitting with our previous expectations and concepts about how things should work. Or, the whole stuff might just look too laborious and complicated. Therefore we start bargaining with our fate, trying to persuade ourselves that "perhaps it's not so necessary", or at least "not so urgent", thinking that we probably still have plenty of time to begin.

There are many "efficient" methods to suppress that inner voice. Women can have new, tighter breasts made; their husbands can get a new car, or even a new wife, eventually. They might work harder or, just the opposite, they could go for a holiday, have another drink, light up a cigarette and talk about the same matters with the same people for hours without end, persuading themselves that they must let it out - again and again. Yet others start extensive fitness programs or somehow manage to get sick, for a change.

Or they visit an astrologist, card reader, chiromancer (palmist), clairvoyant or the like. Some of the people (secretly) visiting us actually swear that they are totally down to earth and not in any way superstitious, in fact in public they are often quite disapproving of the mud of medieval occultism flooding our brave new world.

These are the people who would like to get their hair washed without wetting it. Astrology - as well as other esoteric methods - therefore becomes the tool of finding excuses.

Perfect Tips, Quests for Alibis

Some would like to mark in their diary the exact date of their lotto jackpot, meeting Mr/Ms Right, or the conceiving of the "wiz" kid, perhaps the ideal business venture that will bring maximum profits at a minimal investment. They want to know for absolutely certain what the future will bring and they hate to hear about some of the - perhaps laborious - steps necessary to achieve their goals, as opposed to instant dream-fulfilling recipes.

What they mean by forecasts is to manoeuvre away from destiny. They will be careful on "bad days", perhaps they won't even leave their homes, thinking that as soon as the unfavourable period has passed, their life can return to normal.

Such appointments are literally born under bad constellations. They ruin the reputation of astrology and keep both the astrologist an the client in an infantile relationship, which could last for years, but could also do more harm than good.
