What motivates us as Christians to nonviolent direct action? Why is nonviolence foundational for peace work? How does Christian community undergird the peace witness?

Church and Peace, together with Church and Peace corporate member the Anglican Pacifist Fellowship, invites Christian peacemakers to a weekend conference exploring the inter-relationship of Christian community, nonviolent direct action and the Gospel. The conference will be held in a spirit of worship and song.

Speakers include:
Chris Cole (Fellowship of Reconciliation/England);
Beccie D'Cunha (formerly with SPEAK network);
Bishop Colin Scott (Anglican Pacifist Fellowship);
Vic Thiessen (London Mennonite Centre);
and a representative from the Bruderhof Community.

Programme:
Arrival on Friday, July 16th, between 16.00 and 18.00. Conference introduction at 18.30, followed by supper at 19.00. Departure on Sunday, July 18th, around 14.00 after lunch.
