Invitation

We have the honour to invite U9 or U7 boys and girls to participate in an European Chess Competition, which is organised in Hungary , in Balatonszárszó, 17-19 July, 1998. Balatonszárszó is a small town on the South coast of Lake Balaton, the most famous Hungarian holiday resort. There are direct bus lines from Erzsébet tér, Budapest, next to the central Deák tér and also trains from Railway Station Déli.

Venue: HOTEL ANNAMARI, Balatonszárszó, József Attila u. 43.

Accommodation and meals: For the young participants and for one accompanying person the organisers offer full board and accommodation at 25 USD/person/day, for other accompanying persons 30 USD/person/day.

In case there are participants in all the four groups two children and one accompanying person gets free boards and logging.

Those players that arrange their board and lodging independent of the organisers, must pay an entry fee of 20 USD/player for their participation.

Costs must be paid upon arrival in cash, to the organisers.

System of play: 9 Rounds, Swiss 25-25 minutes each for a game.

FIDE- Rapid Rules are applied.

Travelling costs are paid by the participants themselves.

Deadline of entries: 10 July in a written form.

Prizes: The first places in each groups get a nice cup, places 1-6 get valuable articles. All the participants will receive small gifts.

Players arriving from MUREK, Austria, European Ch. may miss the opening, but welcome to our event. HOTEL ANNAMARI reception is open all night.
