International Special Education
Congress 2000


The International Special Education Congress (ISEC) 2000 offers an opportunity for all those involved in the struggle to achieve 'Education For All' to consider current issues, share experiences, discuss progress and help each other to formulate strategies for the future.


The Congress will be developed within the framework of the following overall themes:
1. From rights to policy
2. Listening to different voices
3. Changing roles
4. Developing practice
5. Positive outcomes

The Congress will take place at the University of Manchester between 24 and 28 July 2000.

Congress Formats
The Congress is intended to involve participants in a wide range of different forms of discussion, including lectures, workshops, interactive group sessions and round table discussions.

Call For Papers
The organizers are seeking papers, based on the 5 themes listed above, for presentation as a paper, symposium workshop or poster. Abstracts of a maximum of 200 words are required with the submission, which must be made by 30 September 1999.
