Review: The book „The Artists in a Cage“ brings together some essays of Ján Bakoš from two different periods. Those from the first part were entitled Interpretations are from the 1960s and imlpied the cult of the art and the artists, while the later , sociological pieces tried to articulate their demythification. Second part called Meditations is from the last decade of the century and try to attempt to epitomise the meaning of Slovak painting in the 20th century. 234 pages
