Weit Weit Weg - Far Far Away (An experimental short film) 39’, Colour, 16mm 1995 A telecommunications fairy tale about home and far away, long distance calling and the telepresence, television and narcissism, loneliness and non-communication, based on the dialogue from the film "The Wizard of Oz". With the help of a cellular phone, Dorothy from Sasnak creates a simultaneous telebody in distant America with which she can communicate. But it soon separates from her, enters the world of TV-news and is gradually dissolved into the air waves. The numerous attempts by the stay-at-home Dorothy to recapture the transmitted Ego with the argument "There is no place like home" all end in failure. America Sells video/7’00 min/Germany/1990 July 1 1990, the day of the financial unification of Germany, the still existing GDR gets the West German DM - the beginning of the free market. A short, personal documentary about an American propaganda-dance-group, celebrating this day in the Center of East Berlin. I don’t know who it is Video/3’00 min/Germany/1991 A short video-puzzle, connecting sound-extracts from TV with personal shots. A self-portrait. The Magic Glass video U-matic lb/6100 min/Germany/1991 A short meeting of a man shaving and his female image in the magic glass - the TV monitor. The two different kinds on living at both sides of the magic glass exclude any chance for real advances. A tale about coming and going, about the magic and the attractive power of an incomprehensible virtual image. Now video U-matic lb/5’10’’ min/1993 A few shots from the night of the German re-unification Oct 3rd 1990 in Berlin, the old German Reichskriegsflagge shows up again and again. The whole scene changes into an abstract, painful dream, a personal view, made 3 years later. |
Messze a távolban (Kísérleti rövidfilm) 39’, színes, 1995 Telekommunikációs tündérmese az otthonról és a távolról, a hivogató messzeségről, a telepresence-ről, a televízióról és a nárcizmusról, a magányról és a kommunikáció hiányáról, az "Óz a nagy varázsló" című film dialógusára építve. Dorothy rádiótelefon segítségével szimultán működő tele-testet teremt magának a távoli Amerikába, amellyel kommunikálni is képes. Hamarosan azonban, a test különválik tőle, belép a TV-hiradó világába és fokozatosan szertefoszlik a légtérben. Az otthonülő Dorothy próbálkozásai szétsugárzott Egojának visszaszerzésére végülis kudarcba fulladnak, a tanulság: "Mindenhol jó, de legjobb otthon." Amerika "megy" video/7’00 min/Németország/1990 1990. július 1-je, Németország pénzügyi uniójának napja. A még mindig létező NDK-ban forgalomba lép a nyugati márka - kezdetét veszi a szabad piac. A videó rövid, személyes dokumentálása egy amerikai propaganda-tánc-csoport ünneplésének Kelet-Berlin központjában.
Nem tudom, ki az video U-matic lb/6100 min/Németroszág/1991 Röpke találkozás egy borotválkozó férfivel és női képmásával a varázsüvegben - a TV képernyőjén. A varázsüveg két oldalán található különböző életek kizárják a közeledés lehetőségét. A mese a jövés-menésről, a varázslatos, vonzó és felfoghatatlan virtuális kép hatalmáról szól.
