Version 1.

Depending on the neighbourhood French, Arabic, Turkish or Dutch lessons can be heard.
Example:
During the green period when crossing with relative ease is possible instead of a beep-beep-beep sound they can listen to lesson #X(green):

During the amber phase instead of gr-gr-gr-gr sound they can listen to lesson #X(amber):

Nota bene: Daytime, nighttime, twilight texts as well as different sets for different days of the week are being read out loud.

Notes:

The pedestrian acoustic signal is the sound pedestrians hear at crossings. Traffic lights equipped with the acoustic signal function emit different acoustic signals to help to cross the road or summon to stay.

Correspondance of green man time and GLIDE (Green Link Determining System):
GLIDE, the computerised traffic signal system aims to optimise the efficiency of road networks by adjusting green time at junctions according to the vehicle and pedestrian volume.

The traffic light monitors the noise level of the surrounding environment via a built-in microphone. It does so in order to automatically adjust the volume of the acoustic signal to be emitted according to the actual noise level of the surroundings.
